Squidoo Payment Systems

Two basic rules of Squidoo Payments:

1. There are three payout levels and it is based on your lens monthly average ranking.

The three levels are:
Tier 1: Average ranking 1 - 2,000
Tier 2: Average ranking 2,001 - 10,000
Tier 3: Average ranking 10,001 - 85,000
If your lens ranking falls above 85000 mark, unfortunately, there is no payout.

The average ranking is calculated from your average overall ranking for a whole month so any lens that you first publish after the 1st date of the month will not be counted for that month tier payment.

For example: I published Cool Kitchen Toys for Kids lens on 17 November 2010. Even though this lens' average ranking on November 2010 was on Tier 3, I didn't receive any payout for that month (which is paid in January 2011). However, I will definitely receive a Tier 2 payout next month because this lens average ranking for December was on Tier 2.

The tier payment also applies for infolinks ads and chitika links ads.

Every month, the tiered level payment amount varies. However, I'm pleased to advise that the payment amount has significantly increased since Squidoo first payment amount in July 2007.

Tier Infolinks Ads Chitika Ads Tier Infolinks Ads Chitika Ads
Tier 1 $3.80 $1.75 $0.95 $26.09 $6.32 $1.64 $34.05
Tier 2 $0.65 $0.30 $0.16 $4.44 $1.07 $0.28 $5.79
Tier 3 $0.05 $0.01 $0.01 $0.22 $0.05 $0.01 $0.28

2. Royalty from Squidoo lens' money maker modules (Amazon, eBay, Zazzle, etc)

When you sell products from your squidoo lens money maker module, you will receive royalty. The royalty will be shown on your dashboard few days after the sale is made. For eBay sales, the royalty will appear on your dashboard one month after the sale is made.

Because you will be paid 2 months after the sale is made (ie. Sales made in November 2010 will be paid in January 2011), you will not receive the total amount shown on your dashboard.
